We have one room available for a person who would like to live in a friendly family environment, with everything provided except food. The room is fully furnished, with unlimited internet, gas, electricity and water costs all INCLUDED in the rent. Our house has often been described as a nature retreat, as it is surrounded by a lush rainforest environment, which filters the air and keeps it relatively cooler in summer. A cosy woodburner fireplace keeps it warm and for additional cooking in winter. There are bush / creek walks to the Harbour from the front door.
If you move in you would be sharing the living area, kitchen and deck with a friendly family, which includes an 11 year old daughter and 8 year old son. Both kids are well behaved, our daughter very musical and artistic, our son sporty and musical. So obviously we will chose a person who relates well to children. You would of course have your own fully furnished bedroom and an adjacent bathroom with separate toilet essentially for your own use.
Shops, bus, train, ferry, aquatic centre, hospitals [Royal North Shore, North Shore Private, Greenwich, Longueville & Mater], library, cycleways, tennis courts, golf course, pools, North Sydney TAFEare all close by. The nearest shops are in Greenwich, Lane Cove and St Leonards, with Chatswood quickly accessible by car, bus, train or bike. There is plenty of unrestricted quiet on-street car parking. It is 5 minutes walk to the Pacific Highway, where buses take you in all directions, with the CBD just 20 minutes bus ride.
We have both indoor and outdoor dining opportunities (for summer). The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, desk, wardrobe and dressing table. With two bathrooms in the house, one bathroom and toilet are essentially be for your use and visitors. Rent is $260 per week, and can be paid fortnightly or calendar monthly. We are triple vaccinated and our two kids are double vaccinated. We have a piano, so also welcome a musical person.
Pets are generally not allowed to protect the abundant wildlife and native parrots that visit our decks every day.
This is a great place to chill out or relax after the hustle and bustle of the city, a busy day at work, or to create or study. It is so close to the city, but with no traffic noise you really feel you are in a different world.
