In a small and classy group of only 7 units, (near all owner occupied) formed from the large iconic 'Gladstone' Building - built circa 1884.
Level access ground floor unit, just a short stroll to the gourmet cafes and restaurants of one of Sydney's most desirable and exclusive Village suburbs. Heaps of shops within a few minute flat walk at the traffic lights, or another brief walk in the other direction, down Alexandra Street.
Hunters Hill is Australias oldest Municipality, and surrounded by historic and elegant housing. And is FAR closer to the city than most imagine - check it on a map. The home next door is valued at ~$A4 million etc. Almost no units exist on the Peninsula itself, hence Hunters Hill is almost never on renter short list suburbs to look at - sadly.
From this point of the Peninsula, right down to the tip of Woolwich, there were virtually no units ever built, or hence ever offered for rent. Hunters Hill is nearly entirely leafy residential homes - all in the multi-million bracket, and is a lovely neighbourhood to reside in. Our last tenant did so for several years.
Hunters Hill is divided into two district zones. The Western section from the Gladesville Bridge traffic lights westwards is referred to as "The Gladesville Side" and the eastern section from Mount Street, to the tip of Woolwich is "The Peninsula". Real Estate prices and rent prices, vary enormously between the two. Much like Chippendale and Redfern etc - the same general area, but worlds apart.
Hunters Hill is NOT for everyone. It has a small Village friendly atmosphere that totally belies the reality it is a few minutes drive from Sydney GPO. However to live here, in a leafy historic Heritage Building, for around the same price point you'll pay in many nearby high rise featureless unit jungles, has very obvious attractions to the person who will sign this lease. :-)
From 'Gladstone' it is a 2 minute stroll down to the Lane Cove River. Hunters Hill has THE most historic and grand homes in Sydney, and a walk in the very next street to this unit, will let you soak up that history. Drive over and walk around them and soak it up yourself. Walk up the historic steps to Cullens Lane from Mount Street up sandstone steps right at rear beside this building, and you are transported back to a leafy quiet era, of Victorian elegant mansions - that is like travelling 150 years back in a time machine. Please do it yourself when you eyeball this Unit!

The regular Woolwich Ferry to Circular Quay is a breeze for CBD commuting, and driving to the city is simple if needed - only a few Kms from the GPO. Buses stop right out front, going both west and east directions.
Most units close to CBD are in vast valleys, of the same high rise cookie cutter boxes, and hence visitor parking is totally impossible most times. And/or costs a fortune in parking meters. Even in nearly Balmain/Rozelle, street parking is totally impossible.
** HERE ** parking is a breeze, and your visitors at any hour, of any day, will have no issue parking easily, only metres from your door. A really HUGE plus that many overlook. Six secure visitor parks, within the grounds of a 7 unit complex. Also not a street parking meter in sight. NO zoned or restricted parking ANYWHERE here - you can legally park 3 metres from your door most times on the main road, or securely in the large marked carport exclusively for Unit #2 out back. For mobility limited or wheelchair tenants, the perfect spot.
Building has been constantly updated. The classy Balcony was just replaced at a cost of over $150,000 for instance, to the highest Heritage Approved standards etc. A new slate roof and heritage guttering, and fully imported Heritage Approved slate tiles and chimney work, and all new guttering, takes place late April 2019 - cost $135,000. All the driveway side of building is being re-plastered and re-painted after roof is completed, in early May 2019, at cost of $14,000 etc. So the new tenants signing lease, gain the immediate visual benefit of all that new work.
Extensive exterior work is budgeted for and funded, at substantial cost, over the next months. Lots of shopping in a few minutes flat walk away. Stacks of restaurants and coffee shops in either direction short walk. IGA supermarket, dry cleaners, dentists, doctors, Post Office, 2 pharmacies etc. The modernised Hunters Hill Hotel is a short walk, and the famous Woolwich Pier Hotel is just down the Peninsula,
We seek a very discerning and reliable tenant, and the right one will be favourably considered for a LONG lease, ideally one year minimum. The tenant who just moved out signed a three year lease. Possibly a professional person, or a couple? The owners are renting this direct and seek, and WILL check, applicant past rental references carefully.
St. Joseph's College ('Joeys') is close by, and there are several other well-known schools very nearby - Hunters Hill High School, Riverside Girls High School, and Villa Maria Catholic Primary School
Home prices are very high - and rents are high too - official figures, not ours and it has a very interesting summary of the Suburb and attractions.
Reg pets, an indoor cat will be fine. Some small dogs bark incessantly when owners are not home, and are not a great idea in apartment living. But a PROVEN quiet dog would be considered - our previous tenant for 3 years had one who caused zero issues.
