We asked Raine & Horne Terrigal – Avoca Beach New Client Relations Manager, Madeleine Smith for her advice.

Madeleine said it is standard practice in NSW for an agent to account to their landlords a minimum of monthly.

“However, this can vary upon agreement and will be stipulated in your Management Agency Authority,” she said.

“Some agents will offer mid-month and even weekly payments, depending on your state and agreement.”

“Remember though, your agent can only pay the rent that they have received from the tenant within that period.”
