routine inspection

“Can I reschedule my routine inspection?” (Tenant, NSW)

We asked MMJ Real Estate Dapto Property ManagerLaura McDiarmid for her advice.

“You’re very welcome to contact your agency/owner to request a change to your inspection time,” Laura said.

“The agency has no obligation to change the time, but most agencies will change the inspection time if it is within a reasonable timeframe of the inspection.”

“The other thing to remember is that most agencies conduct their inspections during business hours, so when you request a change out of this time, there’s a higher chance that they won’t be able to accommodate that.”

“Most of the time we try to be flexible and understanding of specific needs, however, one of our main roles is to protect the property and report this back to the owner. The routine inspection is paramount to this,” Laura concluded.
