What is RentConnect?

RentConnect is exclusively available through rent.com.au and is powered by our connections provider connectnow who will act on your behalf when arranging all your connections.


Who is connectnow?

connectnow is our connections provider. With years of experience helping thousands of renters move, you will have the confidence that the job will be done 100%.


Do you charge any fees? 

No, this is a completely free service. However, any fees or charges that you have under agreement with your supplier will still apply.


What happens after I complete the form?

Our connections provider connectnow will call you within 24 hours to verify your request. This will be a short phone call to make sure that you’re comfortable with them acting on your behalf and to confirm all your services.

They will then contact all your suppliers on your behalf to arrange all your connections and disconnections.


Will the electricity be turned on by the time I move in? 

Your electricity is guaranteed to be connected by the agreed moving in date*.

*If a supplier error is the cause of the non-connection, connectnow will work with you to seek appropriate remedial actions.


Can you also arrange disconnections from my previous address?

Yes, we can arrange all your disconnections for you.

What companies can you arrange connections for?

We can arrange all your connections from leading industry suppliers throughout Australia.


Can I cancel or change my connection request?

If you want to amend a connection request, please call connectnow on 1300 554 323 on the same day as you submitted your application.


Are there any other fees and charges?

We may charge a reprocessing fee of $15 if we need to reprocess a payment due to a payment default by you, and a cancellation fee of $20 to cover our administrative costs associated with any cancellation of this contract by you.


Can I change or choose my suppliers?

We provide you with a choice of suppliers where possible. We want you to be able to choose from the best providers and services available.


Can you offer me the same deals that I would get directly from the suppliers?

Yes, you will get the same published deals as you would of had, if you had gone directly to the providers that we work with.


Do you act on my behalf or do you take over my accounts as well?

We only act on your behalf to arrange all your connections while your move. Your account information & communication with your existing and your chosen new suppliers will continue as normal.
