“Does the quality of my property affect my RentBond application?”

This week, Dave asked, “Can I get RentBond if I get a better place to live in?”

Anyone moving to a new place is eligible to apply for RentBond. It’s a great way to maintain your cash flow, by paying off your bond amount over 6 to 12 months instead of having to pay the entire bond now.

While anyone can apply for RentBond, the only reasons that a RentBond applicant wouldn’t be successful are:

  1. The agent you use chooses not to use RentBond
  2. The applicant doesn’t meet the criteria for a RentBond approval

RentBond approvals are based more on the applicant, rather than the quality of the property being moved into.

Having said that, the vast majority of our RentBond applications have helped many renters over the years smoothly transition into a new rental.

The team at Rent.com.au look forward to helping you with the bond for your new rental property.
