How do I tell if a rental listing is pet-friendly?

Step 2. Add filters to your search

If you followed the first step and entered a suburb name into the search bar, you’ll have reached the search results page. From here, you can do one of two things:

  1. Click on the Features drop-down menu and select Pets Allowed. Then click Search again. These properties have been uploaded by a landlord or property manager who has specified that pets are allowed in these rentals.

2. Not all landlords and property managers will specific whether pets are permitted to live in a rental property. As a workaround, many landlords and property managers will consider pets if they are small, well trained and unlikely to cause damage in or around the house. If you find a great property, it’s worth asking the question of the listing landlord or agent, rather than ruling out all property listings which say ‘no pets.’
