Tumbling house prices have not flowed through to lower rents for tenants, but this is about to change, according to the CEO of ASX-listed portal rent.com.au.

Its latest September quarter report shows that while Sydney apartment rents fell 1.8 per cent to $540 a week, five out of eight capital city markets, including Melbourne, recorded rising apartment rents.
