According to the latest rental data from Rent.com.au, Sydney is still the most expensive Australian city for house hunters, with affordability per room unchanged at $275/week.

Newly released data from Rent.com.au has shown that despite a stable national median rent, Darwin reported a considerable drop in house prices in August; median rents in the Northern Territory capital fell 8 per cent month-on-month, now $460/week.

RENT has ranked the top 10 most affordable and most expensive suburbs by state, as well as those suburbs which sit around the median rent for the state’s capital.
