The 2020 PPM Property Management Conference has been rescheduled in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and current border restrictions in various states.

Event host PPM Group has rescheduled the event to 19-20 June 2021.

Managing director Debbie Palmer said that while the pandemic has locked down and challenged the country, PPM Group is determined to bring Australia’s property management industry together again.

“COVID-19 will forever etch 2020 in our history books,” she said. “The crisis has impacted everyone differently, with some industries such as property management particularly challenged. We’ve had to navigate, mediate and face some of our most trying times ever.”

“Out of nowhere, COVID-19 also put a stop to real connections through networking, events and conferences.”

The PPM Group has postponed its 2020 National Property Management Conference due to hotel lockdowns, as well as the health and wellbeing of its valued delegates, speakers, staff, and the wider community.

“Everyone has had to make tough decisions this year. While there was overwhelmingly positive interest in attending from many teams in states less affected by COVID-19, it didn’t seem right to host our nationally known event, especially when our speaker line-up was one of the best yet. I want everyone to experience our conference.”

While PPM Group has also postponed its 2020 National Awards out of fairness to the industry, it has announced that the 20-year celebrations for the 2021 PPM Conference and Awards will take on a brand-new format.

The date for a well-needed property management ‘post-COVID-19 get together’ has been locked in for 19-20 June 2021 at the QT Hotel on the Gold Coast.

“Mark your diaries, and let’s keep our fingers crossed that 2021 will be a fresh start,” Ms Palmer said.

Rent.com.au is proud to continue its association with the PPM Group as major sponsor. Updated award entry forms will be distributed to all rent.com.au member agencies once available.
