While Australian renters are in the process of searching for a property and enquiring online, we thought it strange that many real estate agents and private landlords still ask their prospective tenants to fill out paper-based application forms.

This process can be tedious for renters, who may be applying for several properties at any time before they are finally accepted. Not only that, it can be difficult for a property manager to sort through paper forms and interpret some renters’ handwriting too!

Although the current digital (electronic) application systems have their merits, they miss the mark in providing useful information about who the tenant really is. That’s where Renter Resume fits in, providing rich information about the tenant applying for a property, while making the process of identifying and selecting suitable tenants easier for property managers.

The new, comprehensive tenancy application

Following positive feedback on Renter Resume, together with numerous requests for a full tenant application form to be included, we’ve listened, consulted and launched this service.

Agents can now receive a full digital application, which incorporates the Renter Resume details. It includes all of the data captured in a standard application, while also adding in an extra dimension of renter information.

Many applications come already supplied with a completed NTD and Veda ID check paid for by the tenant.

This added information is captured through our unique Renter Resume and Pet Resume features, and includes photographs, renter biographies, detailed pet information and references.

The application forms are available through the newly updated Agent dashboard, along with any enquiries messages pertaining to listed properties.

How does it work?

A renter only needs to complete their Renter Resume once. From there, each time they apply for a new property, an application form specific to that property will be generated.

That application is then neatly delivered directly to the property manager through the Agent Dashboard.

The new application form isn’t the first in the market, but in response to industry feedback, it’s now the most comprehensive, giving you the best chance of selecting the right tenant for your property.

The new Agent dashboard’s newly updated Agent dashboard allows property managers to access all enquiries, Renter Resumes and online applications for every property listed through the site.

The dashboard will also let you view the marketing statistics for each property.

If you have your own application form loaded, or use 1form, you will not have the application forms available through the dashboard.

Will it cost me?

There is no cost to agents to use the new tenancy application form. Even better – you don’t need to do anything to get set up to receive the applications.

Offices which would prefer to have their own application used can have this loaded to the website. If your form is already loaded, your office will not receive the full application form, just the Renter Resume section.
